Frostgorge Sound Champion Farming Guide

Overview

In this guide we present to you the most efficient method that the Guild Wars 2 community uses to farm Frostgorge Sound. Please note that some farming leaders might do a slightly different route, but the vast majority will follow the exact pattern below. I would recommend that you set your graphics to “low” so that you load quickly after Waypointing, so you can keep up with the pack otherwise the Champion you are moving to next will be dead before you get there.

While Champion Farming isn’t exciting (and does get boring quickly) it yields a good return of money especially if you sell all the Fine and Masterwork materials you obtain as well as the crafting drops. The “bags” from Champion enemies also contain anywhere from 5 to 7 silver, with a single rotation of the map tending to yield 40 silver from those loot bags alone.

As a last couple of tips, be sure to have a swiftness skill equipped and be sure to guest on a very highly populated server. Getting left behind the farming group will ensure you don’t get to “tag” the Champions and staying on your realm (if it isn’t particularly popular) will decrease your chances of finding a zerg to farm with.

Frostgorge Sound Champion Farming Guide

1. Enter the zone at Drakkar Waypoint. Immediately besides this (in the water) is a Champion Icebrood FishLoot – Gilded Strongbox

2. Exit the water and follow the bank on your right hand side and head towards the Champion Icebrood Kodan. Please note he sometimes spawns at the Skill point besides Drakkar Waypoint. Loot – Gilded Strongbox

3. Depending on if the Champion Icebrood Kodan spawned besides the skill point or over the water, just nearby is the Champion Icebrood Norn.Loot – Gilded Strongbox

4. Head towards the waters edge and submerge, heading straight to the bottom in a south-east direction. Underneath a stone archway, amongst lots of reeds is a Champion Undersea Ice WurmLoot – Fallen Adventurer’s Backpack

5. Teleport immediately to Skyheight Steading Waypoint and follow the path south, before turning west. On the ridge is a Champion Ice Drake BroodmotherLoot – Fallen Adventurer’s Backpack

6. A Champion Quaggan sometimes spawns besides the Broodmother as an event, and is a bonus Champion to kill on your farm. Please note that he is on a reasonably lengthy timer, so he tends to appear once every 5 rotations. Loot – Shell Pouch.

7. Once the Quaggan/Broodmother are dead, teleport to Earthshake Waypoint to the far east of the map. You should then run west, as if you were to jump into the troll ravine but instead of falling down jump over the edge and onto the opposite side, avoiding all the enemies below. Cross over the platform and on the other side, when you’ve dropped down, is aChampion Snow TrollLoot – Oversized Rucksack

Once the Champion Snow Troll is dead, teleport back to Drakkar Waypoint to repeat the process.

GW2: Completing Cutthroat Politics’ Meta Achievements (GuildWars2Hub.com)

Lee B. over at GuildWars2Hub.com has written up a quick guide on how to complete the meta achievements in GW2’s current event: Cutthroat Politics. Fortunately, the event’s achievements can be completed in PVP and PVE dailies.

Meta-Achievement Guide

This guide is meant to help you knock out the “Kiel Supporter” and “Gnashblade Supporter” meta-achievements as quickly as possible to get your miniatures and get you well on your way to focusing all your time on supporting your true candidate and getting you those Aetherblade weapons!

It’s important to note that the “Kiel Every Day” and “Gnash All the Blades” achievements can be done with both PvE and PvP daily achievements so it shouldn’t take you too much time.

Kiel: Homeland Support

Ellen Guide

I recommend you always start out this zone by going to the Champion Troll by the Vale Waypoint. Usually, especially if you tell the map, you will get a nice group going to cut the Troll down quickly. After head west to see if the Bandits are attacking the farm and, if not, head south to Clayent Falls to talk to Ine Duran ad likewise to look at the bee hives across the lake to see if bears are attacking.

Ine Duran will offer you two meta events with the first being a grub collection quest at the Troll cave. After she will head back to her dock where she will spawn a Veteran Barracuda you need to cut down for the second event.

Finally keep an eye on mapchat for the Corrupted Oakheart event, or occasionally check it yourself. Likewise look to the Crossing and Heartwood Pass Camp Waypoints to see if they ever get contested, which means events.

Doing this circuit, as well as keeping an eye on map chat to see if anyone calls out another event, should get you the achievement done in an hour or two.

Gnashblade: Homeland Support

Evon Guide

Here I recommend starting at the Greysteel Armory Waypoint, running across the bridge over Devourer’s Mouth, to Tela Range. Here there may be three events one after another in this small area that are very easy to complete and need not more than you turning in one or two things in order to get full reward.

After head south towards the Village of Smokestead, passing by the Cow Ranch and past the bar. Here two events may start where oen involves you fighting Harpies or disbanding a fight between the three Legions.

Head Northeast toward Lake Feritas, along the wall, and pass through the scrapyard on the way to the lake all the way up to Facula Castrum. The scrapyard has a two pronged event chain and the Lake occasionally has a tar elemental problem while everyone knows of the extremely fun (and difficult) Shaman event chain that occurs in Facula Castrum.

Go south after sweeping the Lake to Old Duke’s Estate and Barradin’s Vaults. You might run into the cub escort event, lodestone gathering event or the event to kill Barradin’s Ghost… AGAIN!

Finally swing on up to Calhaan’s Haunt all the way up to the Marty’rs Waypoint. In this stretch you may run into Calhaan for a quick an easy kill the Veteran, or bump into “Badazaar’s” champion.

Doing this circuit, and likewise paying attention to the map chat, will net you this achievement in an hour or two.
