Attack On Titan Becomes Nintendo 3DS Game

Given Attack on Titan is currently being made into a live-action movie, it doesn’t come as a major surprise that a game company is looking to cash in on the manga franchise. According to GamerInformer, it’s unfortunately coming to 3DS. It feels like something that should be on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 instead. The game is slated for release in a few weeks and I hope it turns out to be worth it. That said, I’m really not sure how much plot the game can have given the manga is still early in the storytelling process.

Atlus is bringing the latest version of Spike Chunsoft’s Attack on Titan game, Humanity in Chains, to western shores. The title was announced today during the Nintendo Direct, and you can check out the trailer and screenshots below.

Attack on Titan supports local and online cooperative play for up to four, and if you have a Circle Pad Pro or New 3DS, you’ll get more refined control out of the right analog disc or c-stick. In addition, the first two episodes of the anime are available on the eShop for free (you can also catch the series on Netflix).

Whether you prefer your anime titles subtitled or dubbed, you’ll be happy to know that you have a choice. The game is slated for release in May, though a specific date has not yet been confirmed.
